How to: cut and paste
There are standard cut, copy and paste commands, as in any application. Show the children how to do this with the Edit menu first. Then explain how to do this with the keyboard.
As with any application, fluency in cut, copy and paste is vital, and the best, most natural and efficient way to do this, is with the keyboard.
Explain what the additional information: Ctrl+C, etc. means. This will be useful in other applications where other shortcuts are given. Shortcuts are a step away from being a power user.
