Microsoft Internet Explorer has the ability to clear all the HTML formatting from a piece of text.
To do this select (highlight) a passage with bold, italic or underlined text, or even coloured or sized text and font face. Then, select from the drop down menu, Clear formatting.
If there are any headings (<H1> to <H7>) highlight the heading and select Normal <P>.
